Tuberculosis, Leprosy, and other Lung Diseases NSP 2023-2030

This national strategic plan highlights priority areas to address Tuberculosis, Leprosy, and other lung
diseases. It recommends evidence-based and high-impact interventions that will bring our country closer to ending the TB epidemic and eliminating leprosy as public health problems. Priority lung diseases other
than Tuberculosis are also included. The planning process has used people-centred approach and cascade of care analysis and is informed by a detailed epidemiological and health service data analysis,
implementation experiences, external programme and epidemiologic reviews, cost-effectiveness analysis,
and extensive stakeholder consultations.

It identifies priority populations, service delivery models and key interventions to reduce treatment coverage gap, both in drug susceptible and resistance TB, and leprosy. It also highlights equitable access to quality TBL services; expanding public-private mix and laboratory capacity to increase access to essential TBL services; and strengthening availability of quality data and use as a national priority.
